Shreena is a Solicitor at ACA Law Ltd with extensive experience in providing legal advice and advocacy at Court. She has experience in different areas of law, including Criminal and Immigration law.
While studying at Brunel University, Shreena completed an 8-month placement at a criminal law firm in Camden. After finishing her studies and completely her LPC, she worked in the Immigration department of two different London firms. However, Shreena was always passionate about criminal law. She arrived at ACA Law in March 2011 as a full time paralegal and quickly progressed in the firm qualifying as a police station representative, completing her training contract and becoming a fully qualified solicitor in May 2013.
During her time at ACA Law, Shreena has dealt with hundreds of cases ranging from driving matters to manslaughter including attempted murder, s18 grievous bodily harm, rape and armed robberies. Shreena has made a name for herself in successfully defending clients in all kind of cases. Her characteristic enthusiasm and approachable demeanour have been proven to be exceptionally effective skills both at the police station and the Magistrates’ Court. Apart from representing and defending her clients, Shreena is also involved in the supervision and training of colleagues within the firm.
Shreena is regularly instructed in cases involving Trident investigations of gang related murders, firearms related violence and cases arising from prolonged police operations targeting organised crime. Recent examples of high profile acquittals obtained by Shreena include: R v O & Ors 2015 where the defendant was charged with conspiring to manufacture firearms while many of the co-defendants were convicted; R v M where the defendant was charged with blackmail which included systematic threats made to the victim including causing £100,000 worth of damage to the victim's business, while co-defendants who were convicted of this offence received sentences as high as 8 years' imprisonment; R v A 2013 where the defendant was alleged to have raped an autistic male outside of Oxford train station.
When outside of work, Shreena maintains an active social life doing activities with friends and family.
